White Bear Lake Boating Tour to Launch!
The long awaited self-guided boating tour of White Bear Lake is here! The illustrated brochure highlights historic locations and legends throughout the three bays of the lake including tales of sunken steamers, geological formations, White Bear Yacht Club, Wildwood Amusement Park and the boat building industry that put this area on the national map. Copies are available at the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society's Depot Museum and White Bear Lake City Hall. Sponsored by the Huebsch family with research by Mary Jane LaVigne with support from WBLAHS.
The White Bear Lake Area Historical Society seeks garden helpers at the Fillebrown House. A crew will meet at the Fillebrown House every Tuesday at 6:30pm to weed and otherwise maintain the gardens. If you are able to help, please contact Mary Parenteau at 426-4623 or come on a Tuesday. There will be no garden work on Tuesday, July 4th.
